  2. Hello Forum, I hope it's ok that this is already my second thread in 2 weeks but i can't figured out a solution. I have all of my animation and modelling done and now i want to animate my camre. The camera moves from the side of the object to the front. At the beginning my Studio Background is too short on the sides... scaling it up doesn't work because then it has to be huge and also all my lighting gets messed up. What is the best way to fix that? I tried to change the aperture and focal length of my camera but that just makes my object look weird and squeezed. Here is a screenshot: http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/9024/backgroundproblem.jpg Thanks for your help!

  4. With Postion and Rotation yes! But what where would i find the scale properties?
  5. Thanks Dan! I guessed that it is not as easy as in AE but thanks anyways. I am going to look for tutorials, i just needed to know what it's called, now i know. Thank you really much!
  6. Hello Forum, I am working on a project in c4d right now but i want to create the background using Trapcode form in After Effects. I want to make some floating graphics and put them behind my object. Is there a way that i can render out every object seperately but still have all the reflections and shadows on them. So that i can put a layer behind my object but in front of the background? If yes how do I that? My second Question. To replace a layer with something else in after effects i only need to press alt and drop it on to my layer i want to change. Is there a way to do the same in c4d? I often need it because it makes life a lot easier to not have to scale, rotate and move it by hand everytime i change something and merge it in again. After effects does that all for me with one click. Thanks for your help! Screenshot: http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/1007/screenxkd.jpg
  7. Hm i tried it wit the C4D Tag... maybe you could explain it a little more?
  8. Hello Forum, i have my scene set up in Cinema 4D but i only want some objects reflected on certain other objecs.... How do i restrict the reflection to let's say only one object? I can only choose with the C4D Tag that it should not reflect at all. Hopefuly someboy can help me out! Thx!
  9. Hello Forum, I want to make some clones wiggle in a smooth random motion. I am not so efficient with C4D, is there any way like a quick expression just how i would do in After Effects? wiggle(5,5,) Thanks for your help!
  10. Thanks a lot guys, you are really helping me out here. You are right about snytheyes it is available for mac but because i am a student 400$ is too much at the moment, as it looks my only option is PFhoes because of the inexpensive Price. Can I important 3d meshes into PFhoe? So i can go ahead and shoot my scene and then track the camera path and the movement of the Hand seperately. From there i can place the object in the scene and/or link an object to my tracked hand. Did i get it right? Thanks!
  11. Hello Forum, 1. Question: I just got my first real Camera which is a Sony HDR-xr520ve and now that i got the right equpiment i want to try out 3D Tracking. What i want to do is, i want to place a 3D object in somebodys hand. I have watched quite a few tutorials on 3D Trakcking but most of them are just about how to place an object in a scene when the camera moves. My Problem is: i know how to add the object in the scene but can i link the object to the hand so when it moves it stays in the hand? Is it possible to have a comera movement and link the object to the hand or is it only possible to track either the hand or the camera movement? 2. Question: Tracking software... i know there is a lot out there but wich one to choose? Boujou is too expensive and syntheyes only for windows, i would like to stay in my mac os and not switch to my windows partition to track the footage. Is pfhoe a good solution for what i want to do or should i invest into syntheyes and use windows? Maybe something completely different? Thanks for your help!
  12. I guess i mixed up the meaning of my post. I have particular but what i meant was if i can get such nice colored and shapr light streak with particular? I have only used one colored light streaks and didn't work much with coloring or shading in particular.
  13. Can you get such nice light streaks with only Particular?
  14. Hey, thanks for your help. I did not have much time yet to take a close look at your cs tool fog but i played with it for a few minutes and it looks great but i get some hard edges... i want the fog to float like clouds behind a text and a volumetric light works PERFECT but it takes too long to render... 6 Minutes for one frame and with a 1000... which is a 100 hours, not worth what i am doing. EDIT: This is the look i am going for http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/9939/bildschirmfoto20091208ur.png (Volumetric light), but as I said... too long!
  15. Hey guys, i need to create some fog in cinema 4d. I did some really good looking fog with a light and a noise texture but unfortunately it is very render heavy... to heavy for me. Does anyone know a good technique for fog? Thanks for your help!
