  1. Hi all, I know some of you have checked out the tutorials on my blog. I've had tons of feedback from it and a steadily growing number of subscribers and titter followers, so I decided to give them all a proper home. They'll cover C4D, Vue, Maya, LW & After Effects. I have redesigned my company website to include sections for tutorials and resources. The tutorials will live in 3 sections. Real world: These are tutorials which show how to achieve a particular effect or end result. Project based: These are step by step tutorials, recorded in chunks, which make it simple to learn how to build and manage projects. The first is an interior scene, starting with a start to finish lesson on how to build an item of furniture. This will be followed by building the set, creating other items, lighting and rendering. Basics: A set of tutorials to help the novice get to grips with 3D, motion graphics and visual effects, from learning interfaces to how tools work. They'll cover C4D, Vue, Maya, LW & After Effects. I also just added a new tutorial, which is the first in the 'project' section. Please please please give the site the once over and let me know what you think. The feedback will be invaluable to help me improve it. Also any tutorial requests are welcome. Just email me or fill out the form on the contact page. Also you can follow me on twitter for updates on new tutorials etc.. Cheers Rob p.s all tutorials from now on will also be HD 720p
  2. froj-that's definitely something I'll look at covering. I just added a new mograph tutorial today though. Hopefully some of you may find it useful/interesting. http://web.mac.com/robertredman/RobertRedman/Blog/Entries/2009/9/14_Mograph_tutorial.html
  3. Good point about compatability. I decided to go for vimeo. Although I'm going to test the direct upload to youtube from the new Quicktime, in snow leopard. Thanks for your input, Rob
  4. I've tired now on my mac, using FF and Safari 4. Seems ok my end. Anybody having problems? Would I be better off linking to Vimeo or something, do you think? Cheers, Rob
  5. Did you have any luck with it? It's working for me but would be very useful to find out who is having trouble. Cheers Rob
  6. Hello all, I did post this on the main board but thought it might be worth posting here, as people might look here first, when searching for tutorials. I recently started a blog to document my ongoing projects, as well as being a place to post any tests I do. I also get asked quite a lot of questions about my work, so I will be posting regular tutorials. Please check the blog HERE and leave a comment for me. Let me know what you like or what sucks. If there is a particular tutorial you would find useful then please let me know. Thanks Rob
