  1. Hi! My name is Stephan van den Brink and I'm a 27 year old freelance Art Director, Designer and Motion Graphics Artist based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In the past I've worked at design agency Cape Rock in Hilversum, the Netherlands and at BUCK in Los Angeles, Californa. I have a new showreel running on Vimeo which contains a selection of the work I've made in the past few years. It's a divers collection thats has animation, channel branding, abstract work, illustration and direction in it. Please have a look at: https://vimeo.com/61305677 To see more of my projects please visit: http://www.fctropical.com I would love to hear what you guys think. Thanks in advance! 2. How did it went? Did you discover any new things on the set? Thanks!
  3. Hello peeps, The upcoming week I need to fix a live-action shot where a kid is painting on a canvas. When the kid is done painting all the paint and his art-piece slides of the canvas. Kind of the feeling when you throw water or something on it. We already did the shot and there wasn't time to do this during the shoot. So we added trackpoints to the empty canvas so we can composite the falling paint into the empty canvas. Can you guys give me advice to make this as realistic as possible? I already tried it with several plugins (like liquify, smudge-animation in PS, using ink-shot and put it on top of it, shatter with ink etc) but this all isn't the way I want it. Next idea is to film a real piece of canvas with the artpiece and the drop water/terp tine on it to make the paint slide off. And then composite this back into the canvas. If anyone has any idea or tips to make this more realistic or to make me work faster and efficient, I would be glad to hear Thanks in advance! Stephan
  4. Any comments? Do you like the different backgrounds? Did you found the 'Info'-button? How is it looking in your browser and what kind of browser? Thanks in advance
  5. Nice to see the respons people! It's funny to see that all the motion-peeps prefer Quicktime but when you see the stats most of the people have Flash Player instead of Quicktime. But what Barry is saying sounds really good. @Barry: Do you have any tips for scripting serving a Flash-movie when Quicktime is not working? You can PM me or if it's usefull for other people (which is probably is ) you can post it here? Thanks in advance! Stephan
  6. Hello peeps! I was wondering what you guys would prefer when looking to someone's website? Do you think a Quicktime-player of a Flash-player would be better? I know most of our people from the Motion-business have installed both applications, but what about the 'other' people? In my stats on my website I can see that still a lot of people visit my site with a windows-computer. And a windows computer doesn't include Quicktime from the beginning does it? So my question is: Is a flash-player more accessible for most people? I would love to hear you opinion! Thanks Stephan
  7. Hi Everyone! After a few month doing some hardcore coding in HTML & CSS my website is finally 'on air' at www.studiowoods.nl Most of my work is made at my internship at BUCK, Los Angeles, but ofcourse you can see some other visual awesomeness on it! I would love to hear what you think about my website. Thanks <br>
