What is MayoFlux?
MayoFlux is a full production Media Company in the Pittsburgh area with a strong web presence. MAYO is an acronym for My Art Your Opinion. What would art be if no one had an opinion about it? Would it be great, weird, a red sock stapled to a white wall? The answer is that it would not be known by anyone. Without an opinion or an idea about something, it really can’t exist. Flux is a science term meaning the study of motion. Here at MayoFlux we love to concentrate on Art that is in Motion. If you have an Opinion about it, we would love to hear it.
Why invest with us?
We offer a variety of services in the digital world, including Video, Animation, Websites, and Illustrations. We are a one stop shop for all of your digital needs. Need to redo your old web site into something that’s going to drive your business? We have an expert for that. Need a music video made to promote your band to the next level? We have an expert for that. Need a viral video or television ad that is going to POP and set you far above your competition? We have several experts in that! Not only are we experts but we work within your budget. Just let us know what you have in mind.
Our Clients
We value the alliances we make with our clients. Each of our clients will have an alliance manager to handle any questions that he/she might have during all the stages of the development of his/her product. Each service we produce has stages so that our clients can see the growth of their investments. This also allows our clients to make any last minute changes to their products at any point in the development stages.
Have questions? To speak with a MayoFlux specialist, please email us at info@mayoflux.tv or fill out the form on the contact page.

Hi everyone, We tried mixing j query with the site to ad a little flare. We like making things look like flash with out using flash on the web sites. Check out the new look for MayoFlux and give us some feed back. - My Art Your Opinion Also if anyone is interested, we're helping out the start up company www.redbluevoice.com they are offering internships to any current art student studying animation / videography / graphic design / etc. They are buying Adobe suits for any one accepted into the internship. Send apps to production@redbluevoice.com
2. You have some clips that are stronger then other but it's way to long. I got bored. Clip it down to 60 seconds or less and get some stronger clips. They will come while freelancing.

Major update today, Check out the new site www.mayoflux.tv NOTE:This site is best viewed with a resolution of 800x600 using either Netscape 3 or Internet Explorer 4 Thanks for everyones advice, i think we have something worth while to brag about now.
6. The idea behind Special Teams is to have 1 per 5 designers if they work full time. We are still building a network and growing in experience and equipment. We are all motivated so i believe in 4 - 6 months from now, we will be a competitive studio in the Pittsburgh area. I'm bring on a musician soon to write all of our music. The Idea is to have everything in house and pay everyone per contract. (this eliminates over head, we can't fail or go bankrupt; worse comes to worse we all get a job at a bigger studio using this as our "experience" that everyone looks for :-) )
7. Thanks, Strategic Alliance Team - they all work part time to full time trying to generate our sales. Each trying different avenues to get sales. I pay them 10% of any contract they bring in for us so it's not a big deal if they don't do anything because i won't have to pay them. On the flip side it is a big deal if they don't do anything because then it's on me to find the projects to work on. Special Teams - Jeanne is our writer, also part time. If we need a script or web content put together she is who we use. She also spell checks everything for us before we send it out. Jeanne also does our female voice overs. - Ken does our male voice overs and also helps out with any contract stuff. Also part time (our lawyer / voice over guy)
8. We took the advice and made a bunch of changes. www.mayoflux.tv We even added volume control to our videos. Thanks for you help!
9. @beau +++ Yeah, we are a new company and we have only being open for 2 months. Not much goes on in the Pittsburgh area so i saw a need to start a company in this area. We are all fresh out of college with 6 months to a year of freelance experience each. I saw in a book that it's easier to make an approach with a company backing you then as an individual. This is right now an organized freelancing company open to any type of digital project with the idea that we are not working as an individual anymore. @Zickar Thanks for the advice, I've noticed on are video statistics that we get about 2 times the loads as we do total plays. @Chirp Smaller might be better, thanks. @rollowenlock Thanks, Strategic Alliance Manager - Sales ... When we get a new client we try to push the idea that they are forming a smart alliance with us rather then buying a service or product from us. Everyone that works as a Alliance Manager is commission only for 10% of any contract they sign. 3 years from now i'm hoping to either merge with other studios or be strong enough to run an VFX and motion graphic studio in the Pittsburgh area. I hope to learn more from the best, that's why i'm reaching out with posts. Thanks again
10. Hey, Need some feed back on our web site www.mayoflux.tv I'm not happy with the layout of the "about us" page any suggestions? Also please provide feed back on our show reel too. Thanks Tony
11. Hey Aaron, Thanks. We did do that just to get that font. Everything is an image. I'll look into that service from Google. The client and portfolio page i'm thinking about combining into one so yeah that's where the 10% is left undone.
12. MayoFlux.tv This is a new company in the Pittsburgh area and we are trying to make our mark. We want to do it right so any feed back or advice would be greatly appreciated. About 90% of the site is complete; The demo reel is complete and on the home page. We chose Vimeo Plus as our video hosting service. Thanks, Best Regards Tony
13. You received some kill shots on here. I feel like a few tweaks will fix this. First thing is the camera movement. I felt my head tilt a few times trying towatching everything that was going on. Check out this tutorial for stronger camera movements, thereis a free plug-in for after effects too. http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/sure_target_2/ Second is design, you can have a bad layout if the colorswork; all in all you want both. Withoutstudying and researching color palettes for a week I found a web site thatgenerates color pallets based on an image. http://www.degraeve.com/color-palette/ it has to be uploaded to an FTP server orsomewhere online. Render out a single frame of the area of video and generatea palette and it will help you out on color blending. Good luck man, hope this helps
