  1. Hi, long time listener first time caller here.. have a bit of a dilemma here, I acquired a well used Nvidia K4000 graphics card from a scrapped HP z400 here in work (long story) and hoped to add it to my HP z800 t home, which also has a K4000 running, I'd hoped to SLI the two but now I know the cards don't support SLI, despite having the connections (?). I was wondering is there any benefit of having the two running in my system if they're not linked? I'm running After Effects 2017 and Cinema 4d 18 with built in renderers. I'm not really up to speed on the computational thing when it comes to rendering.

I can do a regular panelled ball no problem but I need to break a ball apart for a promo I'm working on and this one is a bit more interesting than the usual... I'd buy it if I had the budget... but sure it'd be good to figure this out...
  3. Hey guys, I'm working on a design for an athletics promo and been playing around with some renders... I want to do a really dirty AO kinda look, as haven't got the time to uv map lots of stuff and seperate bakes... heres what it looks like at the moment and you'll see what i mean... I'd like to keep that really dirty look but when i animated the camera it flickers LIKE CRAZY... any way to stop this and somehow bake the entire scene... kinda liek a maya final gather freeze map... though things will be animating so not sure how possible this will be... basically I'm just rying to minimise the flicker as much as possible so i can have nice dirty corners. Even if there was a mutipass work around after i get it all animated and over to AE to mess around with, composite etc...   4. any idea how he fans out the pack at the start? i'm using a bend inside of a null with the cloner pulling them out on the x axis but the cards are getting a bit skewed.

  6. Hey guys have a project coming up and one of the shots is a deck of cards fanning out like the clip and then all flipping over... I can't seem to get the flip over effect right... i'm using the falloff scale on a plain effector rotation, but the cards will only flip from their center axis point and the flip isn't consistant like in the example... I really want to get the pinch effect of the flip like he has. Any thoughts greatly appreciated! Cheers, Sean
  7. Hey guys I've moved to a different computer where I work and put my copy of cinema 4d 11.5 onto the new work station, all seems ok but my 1 2 3 keys aren't really working like the used to. I use them to navigate the view port alongside my mouse but they don't work like they used to anymore. I can rotate and zoom with the alt and command keys but can't pan any more without using the button on the viewport itself. Any ideas? Its not the software as it works fine on the other machine and the buttons on the keyboard work fine for everything else. Is there something I've overlooked? Small problem but a frustrating one!
