  1. Last month I jumped across the pond to visit my sister in New York and was amazed at the questions asked about my countries (New Zealand & Germany) health care systems and how they functioned.... some of the questions were absolutely dumbfounding. This Washington post article gives a good break down of “other countries” health care systems in comparison to the good old US of A: 5 Myths About Health Care Around the World A small snippet: “In many ways, foreign health-care models are not really "foreign" to America, because our crazy-quilt health-care system uses elements of all of them. For Native Americans or veterans, we're Britain: The government provides health care, funding it through general taxes, and patients get no bills. For people who get insurance through their jobs, we're Germany: Premiums are split between workers and employers, and private insurance plans pay private doctors and hospitals. For people over 65, we're Canada: Everyone pays premiums for an insurance plan run by the government, and the public plan pays private doctors and hospitals according to a set fee schedule. And for the tens of millions without insurance coverage, we're Burundi or Burma: In the world's poor nations, sick people pay out of pocket for medical care; those who can't pay stay sick or die.”
  2. It's probably been posted already but I searched for his name and came up with nothing so here goes: Ian Pfaff's Demo Reel

  6. If you're not so into cooking it's a great book to get and just leave lying around the kitchen when friends are over which will insure you'll never, ever have to cook for anyone...
  7. These are kinda cool: http://www.demonsters.be The guy has done a bazillion of them....
  8. Mentioning Lulu reminded me of one of their greatest publications: Natural Harvest: A Collection of Semen-Based Recipes “Semen is not only nutritious, but it also has a wonderful texture and amazing cooking properties. Like fine wine and cheeses, the taste of semen is complex and dynamic. Semen is inexpensive to produce and is commonly available in many, if not most, homes and restaurants. Despite all of these positive qualities, semen remains neglected as a food. This book hopes to change that” Make sure you check out the preview pages for great recipes such as “Almost White Russian” and “Man made oysters”........
  9. @ _Chris, maybe when you've finished your course in “limb destruction” you could take a concise writing course... the length of your posts and the waffle contained therein makes my eyes bleed.
  10. Be very careful with German board games.... this one in particular; ”Mensch ärgere dich nicht” which translates as ”Hey, don't get angry, man“ has, on 3 separate occasions, almost broken my girlfriend and I up.... although in saying that the make up sex afterwards was always fantastisch! So play at your own risk.... or pleasure.....
