  1. Hi, thanks for taking the time to look it over. I see how the transition from one logo to another is a bit jarring will look at that. Once I'd edited the music down to a usable length while keeping a beginning middle and end I hung everything off that - probably lingering on some of the projects too long. Will have another stab at it. Thanks again
  2. Hi all Haven't frequented this board in a while. I have just finished my first reel in about 4 years and would be great to get some general feedback on the edit, timing, order of shots. Would also really appreciate it if anyone could let me know if they are having trouble using the site / playing the movies. I seem to occasionally get problems in Chrome for no apparent reason. Ember - motion graphics and animation, London Thanks Barry
  3. Quick question Anyone know if there's a way I can fake spline dynamics in R12 broadcast? Need to dangle something from a rope and it looks like spline dynamics is only achievable with the studio version. Cheers! Barry
  4. I would make life a lot easier and just do that in AE, can easily add ripples and change the opacity so it looks like its under water, could even use the footage as a displacement map. Then just animate a mask as it comes out of the water
  5. The guy from Hypa Tv had a good tutorial on creating halftones in C4D - his site is gone but think he's on this board somewhere.
  6. Heh yeah, completely forgot about jeeves and wooster. ITV have always had a bit of an art deco fetish. That Rock Shock vid is just what I was looking for, lots of nice transitions, thanks!
  7. Wow some gems in there, thanks. I'm still searching, will post anything else I find. Cheers!
  8. I'm trying to find some examples of modern animations / titles done in an Art Deco style. I'm sure I've seen some things recently on (UK) telly but my mind is a blank. This is a nice slice of 90's cheese: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dytLWYL0gXk And anything by Max Fleischer is useful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU8JdKp5BtI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvtUaXiKGug&NR=1&feature=fvwp But looking for something done recently and a bit more abstract though. Little help?
  9. Yeah recently I've been pushing to keep as much in the composting stage as possible. It's great if the client wants to make visual tweaks but a real ball-ache if they decide to change the camera move and you have to re-render hundreds of mattes and shadow passes
  10. Their method of adding the colour in the composite is very interesting, anyone else tried working like that?
  11. and for no reason at all it suddenly started working again. Very odd.
  12. Working on a C4d project and suddenly the Background object wont show up in the viewport, anyone know what I could have done? Even when I restart and open a new project the BG still wont show. I've checked that its visible in the object list Checked the Viewport display is set to Gouraud Shading Checked the viewport is set to 'Use as Render View' Anyone else come across this?
  13. Does anyone know how I can take some extruded text which has been distorted with the Spline wrap and make it into editable polygons? The make editable button isn't playing nice. Thanks!
  14. Yeah having them infrequently worked, passed with flying colours!
