  2. one of the great things about exporting out in a sequence is using the .rpf format. .rpf can allow you to export tons of information embedded into each frame including velocity data, object id, z depth just to name a few. with this information, you can do tons of stuff in post using various plugins without having to worry about re rendering if the result isn't want you want. another benifit is being able to export the camera data. This way you can use the camera that you animated in max and just bring it into your compositing package. Using this, you can just place static elements in your compositing scene, but by using the camera data, they will act as if they were rendered out in your 3d package being "locked" to your 3d space.
