The 2015 update is my first since going freelance. Tried to keep it to mostly new stuff, short, and only show the kind of work I want to do. Also included a site facelift (still in progress). As always, feedback encouraged and appreciated.

Hello everyone, my name is Paolo and I’m a 3D Motion Artist & Compositor based in Milan, but available for work in Italy and the rest of the world. Hi, We are Morphika, a young motion design studio in Barcelona, and we are proud to announce our first project. It's a main titles piece for Fiu Barcelona ( http://fiubcn.com/ ). This event is created for push the new creative generations. The place where studens looking for inspirations and references may adress their concerns for the future, as well as a hub companies interested in the creative-hunting can discover the great creative talent. The concept behind this titles was a metaphor of breaking the egg, it's a metaphor of born and became something. Therefore, we can observe different eggs that have graphical propieties direclty related with the different students. We can see the conceptual, mecanical o artistical characteristics depending of each egg. Hope you like, Just take a look we love feedbacks! Cheers, https://vimeo.com/96469710

Hey all, Just thought I would share this with the Cinema 4D community. I started out in the 3d world using C4D and then combined a lot of my work in Cinema with designs from other sotwares like maya and houdini. And I wanted to share some of the results and hear what people think about my work.

So, I've got this Seagrams bottle model with a mia x glass shader on it... I trying to add about a millimeter of thickness to the model and I've tried to extrude inwards while "keeping faces together" and that's keeping the outer shell of the model smooth, but the inner shell of it is showing polygon seams (since the bottle is see through with the glass shader)... Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Head over to my blog to check out the link to the new x.264 quicktime export codec. Its pretty nice. Fixes the washed out color problem that occurs with the h.264 codec. You can check a comparison on my blog. http://kevingabriel2...ad-win-mac.html There is a sweet new PC version for the Super v.2010 build.52. Much more stable and way less crashes. For the PC version, head to the bottom of the download page and find the link to download. Follow the instruction and ENJOY. A good tip is to make all the setting changes to the GUI and close the program. When you reopen the program all the changes will be there and it will be a breeze to render your files. Otherwise I have found that when you change settings and process a render you tend to get crashes.

Does anyone use a cross platform render farm successfully with After Effects/Maya/C4D/Nuke? Primarily wondering about After Effects rendering frames from both OS X and Windows nodes. From some initial tests it's looking like certain codecs Prores, PJPEG, MJPEG, etc. will have shifted gamma. If the source footage is one of those formats in AE and it gets rendered in a mixed farm, when I bring the rendered frames back in AE on a Mac workstation, turn the render to 'difference' blend mode, the frames that Macs render were zero (as they should be) in the info panel, but on the PC frames range from 1-4 for some codecs and up to 40 difference on MJPEG. The opposite is true when you bring it into AE on PC. When you prerender the offending codec to Animation, Avid, or image sequences like TGA locally first then render it though there is no shifting on mixed machines. I've asked around and it seems like rendering all on one platform is the way to go but thought I'd put it out there if people have come across any other solutions. Supposedly QT on Windows is sketchy. Similarly wondering if Maya/C4D has any cross platform issues.

hi there folks, my first post, so apologies if I'm missing any kind of etiquette here. I'm trying to work out th best tool to track a handheld 'wand' in 3d. The wand is partially wrapped in green tape (to make it contrasty for extraction/tracking). The objective is to replace the green section of the wand with an alien probe type object that will be built in 3d. All the 3d trackers I'm looking at talk a lot about match moving the camera so that objects can be inserted into the shot, but I just want to track the motion of the character raising the wand into shot and out again. Any ideas? I will try and attach a screenshot...

Hi all, Here is a animation that i created as an introduction for a TV channel's schedule presentation. Deadline given was two weeks . My goal was to create an environment that hosts visually the TV channel's content (city's video billlboards), and also reinforce the channel's branding (ending part). I hope you like it! http://vimeo.com/31095448
