  1. hi. I have a major global client who is looking for some help with a newsletter, they are looking for some fun type animations to add into the email campaign. I would estimate 4-5 days work, ideally starting asap. I specifically need a UK artist, as the client will require an NDA to be signed. Please email links to your reel and day rate ben@graphikboutique.com thanks Ben

  6. So I have tried 'Inheritance Effector' and I have tried 'Random Effector' but I am not getting the results I want. I have a character rigged in nested nulls with expression controls. I want to make a clones of the of the character with animation being offset by time. I have tried everything I know so far. I feel like the problem is that my animation is nested in nulls and groups. Is there a way to randomize animation time for nested nulls with character animation?

  13. Hi I have kind of a weird solve... I'm running a Plain Effector through a sphere to effect the scale of the faces. The problem was in order to do so I needed to disconnect the face of the sphere to get the result I wanted causing the edges of the face to remain hard or faceted. When I put it in a connect object it will give me the connection I need but remove the Plain Effector effect. I was wondering if there was a way to reconnect the vertices of the object outside of the effector radius? Essentially It would be nice to create a custom connect object that has a fall off... I don't know if that is even achievable? But any suggestions or way to set something up would be helpful. Thanks,
  14. Hey guys, I'm working on a personal project and looking to gather some information regarding how you manage animation projects. I put together a quick form to gather this information easier and would be amazing if you could take a few minutes to go through it. Link to form: http://goo.gl/forms/D91A6f2Ypo Greatly appreciate it and thanks in advance!! Ivan

  17. I just finished my first personal frame by frame project. What started as an exercise in frame by frame, ended up in a short about a walking smoking brick. Story came up when I started drawing the walkcycle, so no real brainstorm or concept in advance. I might create a couple of these. Software used: Toonboom, Photoshop, AE and Audition. Feedback really appreciated! (Textures, animation, sound,...)
  18. Hello all, I'm very new here, and new to the community in general. I wanted to post my reel, to see what people thought, understand where I'm coming from, but also use it as a chance to introduce my self. I'll post it now, so and blab afterwards: A little about me: I studied film and video production in college, with every intention of being an editor, and down the line becoming a director. When I graduated, I had a rough time finding a job in the area I lived, and would spend half of my day sending out resumes, and the other half trying to learn something that would give me an edge: AE and C4D. I had used the programs in school, but there were no classes offered in the mograph world, nor animation(in the film department), so I had always been self taught. Fastforward, I've now been working about 3 years in the MoGraph industry for the same tiny studio, constantly trying to throw in freelance where I can to offset the tedium of the "tech explainer videos" I make daily. I would love any thoughts you have on how the reel is structured, the content of the reel, and to just to get to know people in this community. I just finished Binky's series on building a reel, and I already have a feeling mine breaks a couple rules (especially length). Speaking of length, I'll stop talking now. Cheers! -Alex
