  1. Hey guys! I just finished this new 3d animated side project and thought about sending it over for y'all to take a look at :) I had a lot of fun putting it together! I’m a little scared sending it out into the world but, I thought I would give it a go and see what happens. That’s how everyone learns right? So, hopefully you have the time to take a look at it. Thanks for your time! I actually don’t really like sci-fi, or know too much about DC or the Marvel universe. Every year, I try to give myself one large side project to improve technically as well as in my storytelling skills. I saw that creating something from a source that already exists while using a look and feel I don’t feel comfortable using as a huge challenge. After some research and seeing the cool stuff people where doing online, I remember how much I loved the animated series Batman Beyond as a kid. That was the spark that led me to think, what if I created a “fake” trailer for a modern take on Batman Beyond while using subtle indications from the show? It was definitely challenging but with some small personal victories along the ride :) I hope you enjoy my work as much as I had creating and diving into this world! 2. Thinking particles giving you a headache? Not ready to take the plunge with x-particles yet? In this video we retro-fit Cinema's old standard particle system with collision detection, physics, spline following abilities and mograph controls.
  3. Hello! This is a music video for Swedish techno veteran Johan Afterglow. Trapcode Particular bonanza. It looks and sounds, well, like a techno video.

Music Visualization with music from tipper

Hello Everybody https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dR6QhGgXmTM I want to share a video of me with you guys. Its a visualizer done in After Effects with the plugins trapcode form and sound keys. I really hope you like it and please give me some feedback- Thanks. Greets Andrin Rehmann
  5. Nodes 2 is the result of a complete rewrite of the original plugin from the ground up. Low-level coding has been used in order to provide a rendering engine that can support 50,000 particles and unique font acceleration. The plugin runs in Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro, alongside Motion and After Effects. Point clouds are now created from primitives, footage, and 3D models, allowing for infinite possibilities. After Effects Camera is now supported. http://www.yanobox.com/Nodes/

    Showreel 2013

Hi everyone, this is my new showreel, I hope you like it! https://www.behance.net/gallery/SHOWREEL-2013/14147735 cheers
  7. Hello, I am currently working on a scene in Cinema 4D that involves a lot of thinking particles being fired into a field of asteroids and bouncing off all of the asteroids. Right now I have about 100 asteroids created using the cloner object but I am having trouble getting the thinking particles to recognize that they should be bouncing off of all of the asteroids and not just one- how can I properly do this? I have tried making a group that contains the cloner object and the asteroids and then applying that to a PDeflector but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick, any suggestions? Also- if anybody thinks that this is a cpu inefficient way of doing things and I should be having the asteroid field be created using thinking particles rather than just a cloner object please let me know, would love to hear any suggestions as to how the scene could be setup more efficiently Thanks! Anna
  8. I'd like to share one of my recent projects with you guys: http://vimeo.com/63333916 It's an animated short to promote an upcoming social networking app. Illustrations were made by the award winning 105 Pariis. Enjoy!

    Particle Emitter Help!?

Anyone know how to emit a particle once every second instead of once every frame? I want pictures to fall on a table one at a time with a little space before the next one falls. I have a Mograph Cloner set up with dynamics hooked up to an Emitter. However, the lowest settings in the Emitter is 1 particle every frame, which is way to fast. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
  10. Hey all, I am trying to create a "dancing fountain" type of animation. (see for example). I was able to successfully clone my TP emitter across a spline using the Matrix Object. I can get effectors to effect the PSR of the emitter itself, but nothing to do with the actual emitter properties. I think all I need to do is get the "Time Offset" in the Plain Effector to work, however all my efforts to do so have come up short. I used this (http://www.3danvil.com/tutorials/TP%20emmiters%20from%20Matrix%20Object%20Positions.c4d) project file to get started. Any thoughts? Thanks! -Brian

    Thinking Particle Tutorial

Well I'll be honest, I'm not the most popular guy on mograph.net after my little stunt i pulled, but I hope that won't affect the outcome of this posting. I was on vimeo and I say David Drayton's Seeds v.2 and thought, hmmm I could make that. So I did. Then I made a tutorial. http://www.thinkparticle.com/?p=31 Shouldn't have done it so late, but at least i sat down and got it done after months of saying I wanted to and would. Oh and the website redesign is a little better now compared to earlier, but it's still crap and I'm going to grab a separate theme. Thoughts? Anything else you want to learn?

  14. Hey everyone, Just wanted to give you heads up on the new preset and tutorial I have just released on QubaHQ. In this tutorial I will demonstrate the use of a new free preset from QubaHQ.com – Floaties. Floaties is a text animator based fake particle simulator allowing you to create floating specs of dust, glitters, bokeh-style out of focus abstract backgrounds and other visual elements. It attempts to emulate some of the basic behavior found in Trapcode Particular, providing limited, but free alternative to that popular plugin (as long as you are going for a certain visual style). Running time: 51min Difficulty: Easy Required tools: After Effects The tutorial can be found at: http://qubahq.com/20...orial-floaties/
