  1. Hi, I am a Scottish designer researching the way genre in TV title sequences is communicated across different cultures, ethnicities and religions. I would really appreciate if you could take a few minutes to complete a survey to aid this research. It is completely anonymous and will only take a short time to complete. Thank you! https://goo.gl/forms/SrCpu6frs1XNZbNr2
  2. Hey All, I am currently on a job that is trying to marry an "Old World" feel with a "Modern Aesthetic"– the client's words not mine. We had settled on an art nouveau direction for the "Old World" part of the art direction and are still trying to figure out the where "Modern Aesthetic" fits in. I have been thinking that maybe the modern feel will come across in the motion scheme if executed properly, but I would still like to find a way to incorporate it into the design. Does anyone have any good examples of motion pieces with an Art Nouveau direction that still feels like a piece that is telling the story from a modern perspective? Also, any suggestions on how to achieve that balance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Pete
  3. Hey guys, I am very new to this, hence I am just going to put it out there.. I am doing a course in VFX and 3D animation, which includes maya, nuke, boujou, after effects (keying, roto, tracking etc) but not many plug-ins usage... Optical flares, Trapcode is stuff i learnt on my own.. Now my course is coming to an end and they have recently introduced motion graphics as a 3 month course for an additional amount to be paid.. I am still in the making of my demo reel though just with the knowledge of keying and tracking I wouldn't land a job I want... My main concern is do I need to do this course to learn motion graphics... or will I be able to learn cinema 4D and other tools by myself...? I mean, I do not have a starter point... Also what other plug-ins do I need to go through to learn motion graphics and where do I start from? Secondly, What kind of a job am I looking at if I want to work majorly with motion graphics? Any advice or guidance is welcome... I hope you guys can help me out here... Thanks, Saaniya
