  2. Hey guys, So I am having a problem with getting an alpha channel on a texture that is camera projected inside of Arnold. I can get the image to have transparency with a regular texture along the railing....but I cant duplicate that process for when I need to camera map onto the geometry in the background. The plane on the left with the green behind it is just showing that there is transparency along the top of the photo, and that the alpha channel is working. But above the green texture, that same railing does not have transparency, when the texture needs to be camera projected. Any advise? https://www.dropbox.com/s/8b419a5wog90s9k/Projection_Mapping_Alpha_Issue.jpg?dl=0
  3. Hi there guys, I 've been following the Design for Production course in Learn Squared. Mark Rigley uses Octane, and while watching the course I was able to get some nice displacements. While trying to replicate the shaders in Arnold, I'm just not able to reach that same displacement. It seems Arnold tries to distort the geometry while Octane just pushes and pulls the separate polygons I have on an already dense mesh. I know I'm supposed to subdivide things with the Arnold parameters tag, but I already have enough polygons for the effect I want... Does anyone have an idea how to reach that same displacement using Arnold? Here's the Octane displacement: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-X0hS60UA2Gc0xiUFBrY2pKY3M Here's how it looks in Arnold: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-X0hS60UA2GSFlGbEFhdjA5WU0 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-X0hS60UA2GeWlmcDEzRlBmSG8 * The scale of the textures is the same, and I'm using the same bitmaps. I basically replicated the shader network from Octane to Arnold. Thanks!

  6. Hi, We are Morphika, a young motion design studio in Barcelona, and we are proud to announce our first project. It's a main titles piece for Fiu Barcelona ( http://fiubcn.com/ ). This event is created for push the new creative generations. The place where studens looking for inspirations and references may adress their concerns for the future, as well as a hub companies interested in the creative-hunting can discover the great creative talent. The concept behind this titles was a metaphor of breaking the egg, it's a metaphor of born and became something. Therefore, we can observe different eggs that have graphical propieties direclty related with the different students. We can see the conceptual, mecanical o artistical characteristics depending of each egg. Hope you like, Just take a look we love feedbacks! Cheers, https://vimeo.com/96469710
