  1. I am starting a new project on a travel commercial to Colorado, highlighting some of the interesting things you can do there. I am trying to get realistic snow effects to help with some of my scenes. Any and all critiques are welcome.
  2. Hey all, First time poster in this forum, so here is a bit about myself. My name is Peter DiCamillo, and I am a freelance motion designer based in Chicago. I have been working freelance pretty steadily the last few months, but before that I worked as a visual designer at a few healthcare start-ups in Chicago. Now that I am back in the motion design game, I am looking to get some feedback on my reel from these past few months. Right now it is a work in progress, hence the plead for feedback, but I really want to bring this good place so I can get started on making next year's! Any help, thoughts, critiques, etc. would be appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions and if you want to see my past work or what have you, here is my site (http://pdicamillo.tumblr.com/). Thanks in advanced and I hope I can learn a thing or two about a thing or two. Cheers, Pete

  7. Hey guys Im a graduate motion designer, who's basically struggling to get into anywhere and so Im considering just going away for 6 months, while working a part time job in a bar or something and sorting my work and reel out. That said, the economy is in pieces here in Britain, finding jobs is hard and I figure I would get everyone's 2pence before making the life change. So what do you think of my reel and if you have some time my work. Be honest, I can take it. Regards and thanks Wheels
  8. Hi guys, I'm a 23 yr old recent graphic design graduate from North Carolina. So basically, I have a new reel, and I'm going to start sending it out to as many studios as possible starting tomorrow morning. The only projects in my reel are side-projects from a few freelance gigs and personal stuff I got over the past year, as I've only really started to get serious about motion design in the past year and a half at most. I know that given enough time I can rock at this stuff, as I believe I have lots of potential, and come from a liberal arts design background where we learn all about color theory, composition, concept-based design, etc. I think knowing this, a studio would see me as a potential asset. I know I can apply all that stuff to the work I do, and grow further. However, what I want to know is, basically, can the reel I have now land me a job to reach that goal? You can view my reel here: http://preview.tinyurl.com/d34spj9 (I'd embed it, but I'm a noob and can't figure out how to do it.) Also, I'm compiling a big list of studios to email tomorrow morning. What would your tips for that be? Should I always attach a cover letter? Or do studios just want to see the reel? Thanks in advance!
  9. Hey hey, This is from a little while back but I never got to post up here and get feedback on it until now.. Plenty of things that I'm not happy with myself but that's what pushes me to work hard and be better, what I want to know is what you guys think are it's weaknesses, in case there are any that I'm missing. Appreciate any input, Cheers! Website: www.greeble.tv Reel:
