  4. Dear C4D users! Today we launch our new Streetview4D plugin for Cinema 4D. This tool allows you to use images directly from Google Street View and to light your 3D scene. The last 10 years Google has visited every corner of the earth to capture the most beautiful places. This could range from your own street, the latest Batman film set, The Great Barrier Reef - They got it all! We build a plugin to access all these beautiful Street View panoramas so you can use them in your scene. Use it to light your scene, add reflections or use it as your background. There is also a preset browser with some of the most beautiful panoramas we have discovered. But we challenge you to find even beter locations! All you need to do is copy & paste the Google Street View URL and the plugin will work its magic. There is a Sky Rig included where you can easily change options such as brightness, rotation, blur, and a number of compositing functions. Try out the free demo on our website The Great Summit http://www.thegreatsummit.com and take a look at the other plugins that can help you improve your workflow. Please also find below a 3 minute guide video where you can see the plugin in action. Questions or comments? Please let us know! Your team @ The Great Summit

  15. From what I can tell Newton 2 is sort of like having the dynamics from Mograph inside After Effects. Still seems like a pretty young product and other than a review by 3D World (which doesn't load for non-subscribers AFAICT) it's hard to find any user reviews out there. http://motionboutique.com Anyone here have experience with this plugin and/or know someone in your studio who uses it? Definitely has potential but holding off until I hear some first-hand experiences. Also guessing version 3 probably isn't too far away, but hard to tell as plugins can go a long time before updates show up, once they reach a certain level of evolution. Any tips appreciated. [Edit - fixed the name]
  16. A followup to the last Griptools iPad video. This time we use it to drive a ghost! A demo of the plugin can be found here... http://frieslandav.com

    After Effects to Nuke

Is there a way to send an After Effects COMP to Nuke?
  20. Hello! I've decided to turn a productivity tool that i've developed and currently use at work, into a plugin. • It's for people/studios that work with a small render farm • All it does is transfer files when they're complete, either automatically - or with the click of a button. • It saves a few minutes in your day, from a really annoying job that gets in the way of other more important things. • works with the multi-passes/files that can be processed with NET RENDER (can't do depth etc) I dunno, maybe I'm the only person that thinks this is an annoying thing to do everyday Also, I need a decent name, i've picked Render Farmer for now, so do excuse the poor name choice -maybe you could come up with a better one Please let me know if you think this could help you p.s At the moment it has only been tested on R13 on a Mac Marcus

    PolyStepper, a free Xpresso tool

I made a little Xpresso tool for a recent job and I thought I'd share it with you. It's nothing groundbreaking but maybe useful. It basically maps a the points of a polygon onto a mograph cloner object. You can download it and have a look at a quick tutorial here:

    PyDeform v1.0 - NEW plugin!

Hey guys! The overall response to my free script was great and I certainly appreciate that! I just put the finishing touches on the plugin version that adds more functionality. PyDeform is a Cinema 4D Plugin I developed to increase your efficiency and speed up your workflow. The goal is to identify the tedious and repetitive tasks that take up your time...and automate them! The aim is simple...the faster you work... the more time you have to create. Five built-in deformers to choose from, with MUCH more on the way Automatically positions and re-sizes the deformer so you dont have to! Can save you up to 30 seconds every time you need a deformer! LInesCreator - plugin for AE

A friend of mine gave me today the link to that plugin, I downloaded it and it looks pretty interesting. I initially thought that it`s something like Plexus, but actually it`s completely different. While in plexus you have meshes, here you can draw lines between ulimited number of custom objects/comps. Worth checking, it also has 7 days test period. http://www.linescreator.com/ And a video, demonstrating some of the possibilities - http://vimeo.com/32314979 Cheers, Pavel
