  2. Hey guys, So I am having a problem with getting an alpha channel on a texture that is camera projected inside of Arnold. I can get the image to have transparency with a regular texture along the railing....but I cant duplicate that process for when I need to camera map onto the geometry in the background. The plane on the left with the green behind it is just showing that there is transparency along the top of the photo, and that the alpha channel is working. But above the green texture, that same railing does not have transparency, when the texture needs to be camera projected. Any advise? https://www.dropbox.com/s/8b419a5wog90s9k/Projection_Mapping_Alpha_Issue.jpg?dl=0

  10. Hey everyone, I was looking at doing some textured iris bokeh looks. I remember there used to be a website with a pretty extensive library of iris textures. I no longer can find it in my bookmarks. Those textures look like the first image on this page - http://www.frischluft.com/gallery/lenscare_item.php?k=1 Can anyone point me to some sort of a resource? I tried googling but all my queries come back with links to wallpaper and photography sites... Thanks.

http://www.tandent.com/lightbrush/ Really useful for textures extraction. Seems too good to be true. No trial to download. Has anyone tried that? Thanks
  12. We were trying some camera projection as in simulating a real projector and found a nifty technique. Camera mapping a texture and also adding a texture to a light both have their disadvantages. Camera mapping technique means all of your objects need to be grouped and you get tearing . Using a texture on a light wont respect perspective when you move the light back in z. If you nest a camera in a light, add a texture to that light and set the mapping to camera mapping of the nested camera you get a result as you would with a real projector. The advantage of not only being optically correct is that you can project onto an object with existing textures. http://twitpic.com/aymkuy Anyone else worked out any other methods? cheers, simon
  13. OK i have SSS turned on but there is no reason i can think of why it is flashing the texture on and off. Any thoughts? Same frames Render fine when i Preview them in editor window.
