  1. Hey guys, I've been following some of the threads on this forum and thought I'd decide to contribute. Here is a music video I made in my spare time, using Cinema 4D and After Effects. https://vimeo.com/277681369 Here's a breakdown on my Behance page: https://www.behance.net/gallery/67449521/Bare-My-Soul-Music-Video The band is called Empathy Test, who surprisingly decided to share it on their social channels! Hope you enjoy
  2. I imagine a lot of us have read the blog post from Vimeo about the changes to their service. What it means to us video makers is, its now almost impossible to trust that a work-in-progress video we upload to Vimeo will be available to watch by the client for review and approval. This is somewhat distressing, as time is usually pretty tight around this part of the video project. Luckily a group of guys and myself have been working away on a system that takes care of this massive headache. Some of you have already started using it, it's called Wipster. Where the product is lightyears ahead of Vimeo is the collaboration and project organisation features. And it doesn't cost any more. Features include: contextual comments (write on the video), project folders, version control (a stack of edits from version 1 to the final signed off version), video delivery (send final to client, or publish to Vimeo, YouTube or Wistia), team members (so you can all work together in the one space) and private sharing of secure video. We have videomakers from 65 countries using Wipster every day, they are working with clients from anywhere, and we're seeing groups of video makers from different countries working together in their one place in the cloud. It's quickly becoming the new standard way to work. We currently have a 2 week free trial, have a look at how it works, and then sign up.
  3. So I noticed on a recent post on the job board, they request that nobody submits Youtube showreels. Is this really still a problem? I know there used to be a stigma around hosting work on Youtube and perhaps Vimeo, but I thought those days were behind us. I'm wondering whether they would view Vimeo submissions in the same light, or is it just because Youtube is seen as where people go to get angry at each other in the comments section. Would anybody think less of a designer who hosted their showreel on Youtube instead of Vimeo? In reality they're still just 2 very similar platforms.
  4. Hi everyone, It has been far too long since I've posted anything on Mograph.net - perhaps I've been using Twitter too much! Anyway, I'll get to the point; I'd like to share the tutorials I've created for Cinema 4D and After Effects: Subscribe to the tutorials channel - vimeo.com/channels/imcalledandytuts I'm going to be adding tutorials: a) When I find something interesting and useful to share When I have enough time to create a polished tutorial Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions please get in touch! Cheers, Andy @imcalledandy
  5. "99frames" - The Social Animation Project The 99frames project is designed to encourage people to try out the new CINEMA 4D R13 features. Since CINEMA 4D R13 is such a huge upgrade in terms of rendering, character animation and workflow, it’s almost a must in my opinion to get this project started. I really do invite everybody to this very first neosushi68 project, no matter which skill level you have. It simply doesn’t matter. It’s about having fun, learning and sharing your work with the world. To join the fun and find out more about this project, please visit: http://neosushi68.tumblr.com
  6. My plus account expires at the end of the month. Anyone make the switch to Pro yet?
