pokeitwithastick 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 Not as cool as some of their recent ads, but hey it's Tron...
Guest Sao_bento Report post Posted November 19, 2006 That's wacktastic on a whole other level. They should have spent their money on banner ads or stress balls.
pokeitwithastick 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 I like the concept, shame about the execution though eh?
C.Smith 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 Funny thing is they probably had to do a bit of post effects to get the look to have the right amount of anti-detail to match the look of the conversion process from ye old crays onto film. Blows me away how youngin's bitch about not wanting to learn a 3D app to use in conjunction with AE because it's "too hard" and yet the 3D poly models in TRON were entered into the comp as a spreadsheet of point vectors. We've come a long way.
Mylenium 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 Phunky. Me likey. Yes.Yes.Yes. *mocks around like Bit* Always loved "Tron", though I still don't actually have any liking for cars. Mylenium
a2visual 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 Not a good idea to use a movie that even left the makers scratching their heads saying something like, "that was horrible, what the hell did we just do?"
igorschmigor 2 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 Hmm... I actually liked Tron, although the story was ridiculous. But this ad is so awful. Really badly made. Doesn't get the Tron feel at all, in fact the graphics are much worse than the original movie. It's not an official commercial is it? More like a piece of student work, i guess?! jan 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 it was done by RGB6 via nexus. And if i remember correctly a motorcycle crashed on the wall at the end of that scene. Maybe not the cleverest idea for a car ad.
