Subwoofer Animation

Hi guys i wondering if any of you guys can give me a tip or tutorial about how to animete a sub woofer in 3d. Max or cinema 4d. I want to play a music and make the sub woofer vibrate like real.

If you don't have plugins... you can use "animation>keyframe assistant>convert audio to keyframes" to create a movie where the brightness is controlled by the audio levels, and then use this as a displacement map in C4D. You can use an equalizer on the sound first to strip out the higher frequencies and boost the bass.

 

If the music has a regular thumping bass, you can probably get away with faking it - just get the speaker to pulse in time with the music!

Oh...in 3DS Max, keep in mind that there are audio rotation and position controllers that you can assign to objects.
