grapeseeker 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Great tools by Chris, and thanks to Nick for doing this series of tutorials - really useful! How do we get the CS Tools to show up in C4D V.11?
C.Smith 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 How do we get the CS Tools to show up in C4D V.11? Just load them into the scene like any other file. Like if you double click on one it will load into C4D. However, You'll probably want to merge them since they are usually added to a scene as a tool. If you're talking about the object menu, that's been discontinued by Maxon in r11 so don't bother with it. You can use the content browser or the best replacement for the object menu is OLX, a free plugin at biomekk.
C.Smith 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2009 (edited) UPDATE 5.30.09 MoCam changes, new: CS_Particles, CS_IsoCam, CS_LoopNull MoCam now uses frames instead of seconds (thanks to Albert Omoss for making the changes to keep Monkey from nagging anymore . Mocam's 1st waypoint now also has a "Lock to" switch. Except the 1st waypoint locks to whatever is the active cam in the scene. So if you already have a normal camera in the right spot and add mocam, you don't have to figure out how to get it in the same spot. All you have to do is go to waypoint 1 and engage the checkbox, then immediately uncheck it. That will pop it to where the active cam is. PROPS: Huge thanks to Stoiqa for this idea. - CS_Particles. It's the same as CS_Spriticles. Except made for up to 4 objects. Also added is an orientation drop box to set the object orientation options since it's not just sprites looking at camera. There is an example folder with two examples of it in use. - CS_LoopNull It allows you to set how many cycles the loop has before stopping. Then like CS_Movenull you crank up the channels you want , except each channel has a normalized curve. The point of this tool is to do small interesting detailed motions that you want to loop a certain amount of time. - CS_Isocam. Monkey and I came together on this track for a isometric camera he needed. It's Easycam2 modified so that it will morph between an isometric view (almost) and to normal perspective. Monkey added the nice feature of dragging around where it points with a null. Thread on it here with a Monkey example. leahzero 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2009 Isocam FTW. Can't wait to find a use for this. I find I use something from CS_Tools in more than half of my projects now. If Mocam supported DoF out-of-the-box as we talked about, my world would be complete. (Haven't had a chance to dig into the Xpresso yet.)
stoiqa 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2009 it does support dof, you just have to activate the camera settings(mocam), and work around the render settings

C.Smith 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2009 Awesome Tools, thank you foe the update! Questions: Using the CS_Fog; how would I add more turbulence, wispiness and noise? Hmm. Actually not sure. I'm not really a material expert. I tried putting a noise in the alpha but it seems quite crude . I get the feeling volumetric lights are really used for that whispy smoke thing because whispiness is more on the scale of lights. Where as fog is meant for atmospheric haze on a large scale.
