Animated Texture-cinema 4d

Recommended Posts

Just looking to wipe my textures on in cinema 4d. Not sure if I should use an animated QT or maybe animated alpha channel. I didn't want to go the already animated QT, trying to avoid that but not sure what's easiest. If it helps my color channel is in layered mode with several textures....this make sense or am i tired and rambling.

thanks for the pointers

I've played with alpha mattes before. Put a greyscale wipe matte (like something you would make in AE) in the alpha channel of the material in C4D. But you have to make sure your UV settings are right or you'll get weird results. Or you can use booleans. Like push a big cube through your main object inside a boolean object.

C.Smith that sounds like a good road to try. Sorry, could have phrased the question better....i knew someone would figure out my question :) I might have to bite the bullet and do multipass render as well.

thanks
