Cinema 4d: Previewing an animated texture in the viewport

Recommended Posts

I'm working on a Cinema 4d project where I have a polygon plane textured with an image sequence mapped in the luminance channel.

I'd like to know if there's a way of automatically update the texture in the viewport so that when I change the current frame, I could see the changes in the polygon's texture in real time

Thanks in advance!

(and sorry for my broken english)

Double click the material with the animated texture. In the material manager go to the Illumination tab and check "Animate Preview". (It's off by default)

You should now see your texture update in the viewport. Bear in mind the animated preview is low resolution by default (I guess for preview purposes) - but you can alter the resolution by using the "Texture Preview Size" drop down menu.

Hope this helps....
