Colin@movecraft 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2007 (edited) Hey Mographers... I worked with 4 other cool designer/animators in San Francisco to produce the Tour Visuals for underground Hip Hop legend Aesop Rock. It was a huge three month undertaking with lots of After Effects/Design/Filmography/Cinema 4D action. The challenge was creating 85 minutes of original content, making it look "Aesop"-y, having it all work technically with his DJ, and doing it all for not a lot of money or time. While we can't post the whole show due to legality, Aesop was really kind to let us post short excerpts at http://www.tourvisuals.com Also, I posted a demo reel of all of the nicer moments from the show here: http://www.movecraft.com/ (click on the aesop stuff) along with breakdown of the project along with credits on my blog here: http://www.movecraft.com/blog/2007_10_01_archive.html Check it out! Thanks Colin Edited December 1, 2007 by Colin@RawSF

Colin@movecraft 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2007 Thanks guys- It was quite an undertaking. It was very cool as the DJ spun DVJ's so our visuals were synced to instrumentals on DVDs. As he cut, scratched, and beat juggled, our visuals would sync to what was going on. Also, in the small venues they basically just projected over themselves on the small stages, but this made a very cool effect as well. Colin

I guess they stuck with me: will the entire collection be available on DVD at any point ~ would that be possible?
