Pointless Cinema vs EI Debate

Recommended Posts

WOw i never thought there was so much passion over a piece of software. I am simply laughing my a$$ OUT. Is just a tool dudes, is not the only one. That is my point. But for some they take it personally arguing some pointless arguements. Well Chris if you took a phrase of my detail explanation and background of what i think and do for living for a long time to insult me than excuse me, very non professional and just talking in the name of who knows .Only you do.

Peace out.

Well dude you have developed very good tools for C4D and if you are at the Creative Cow forum, that is why i said¨leader¨ that was the word at the moment that i am familiar with. Excuse my English. You havent said or mentioned during the whole thread anything about the discussion that make sense , just pointing out wrong or good, that is not debating my friend.

Yes i have a lot to learn from all of you people that is why i was interesting in the discussion. Learning that is my whole porpoise of these discussion not arguing who´s gun is bigger than who

Is all good over here.

Thanks

Edgard

I was fine when this thread was just supposed to be "pointless", but somewhere it slipped into "Dadaist" when I wasn't looking.

I think Edgard needs a hug....try this program http://www.ulead.com/cool3d/features.htm...it's easy

I am cool man. I have being trying to bring some features from C4D trying to improve EIAS capabilities but it has been an endless battle between programmers and addicts to ElectricImage. They could care less about CA tools. So i made the switch long time ago to Cinema. So now i am bringing models ceated in C4D as FBX and render them with EIAS. It does works fine just need to tweak the materials a bit.

I like how they're promoting the fact that you can "Switch to Wireframe mode"

I was torn between that one and "Animate objects to move in any direction".

GREAT NEWS!!

EIAS 8 is dropping and it finally has some C4D7 features:

--------------

Enjoy all the features EIAS v7 offers

and then receive v8, FREE.

Below are a few features in EIAS v8,

1. Photon Mapping

To aid in the lighting of interior scenes and to provide fast shading of

secondary GI points (reflection and refraction). Photon mapping includes

both baking photons to disk, and to vertices.

2. 16bit quicktime texture support

Specifically to help with Zbrush displacement maps.

3. New background maps

Move around inside a spherical rotoscope.

4. Improved texture window

Texture previews are now 4x higher resolution.

5. OpenGL Texture caching

HDRIs and Rotoscopes are cached. All textures are loaded at twice the speed

of previous versions.

6. Area Lights

A fundamental requirement for lighting interior scenes easily, and

realistically.

8. Fast Ray Traced Soft Shadows

Soft shadows (for area lights and other light types) can now be

significantly faster then in previous versions.

7. Improved Weight Map paint tools

9. New 'Light Flux' graph

Move the mid-point of a lights illumination to lighten/darken a scene

without causing under or over-exposure.

10. Open EXR texture support

ILM's EXR format can now be used as a texture inside EIAS.

11. Quadratic Drop-off

Very realistic light drop-off model, to compliment the more basic linear

system.

12. Many workflow enhancements:

Job Reordering (Renderama)

Display File Names (Renderama)

Center with C-click now zooms to fit object (Animator)

Remove From Selection Set (Animator)

Green Triangle to “off” by default - as a preference (Animator)

Direct Shader Opening (Animator)

Normal Maps as camera maps (Camera)

Remote Folder support for Renderama (Camera/Renderama)

Re-import FACT on export (Animator)

Constrain texture scales (Animator)

Contextual menu for textures and shaders (Animator)

Drag and drop a Fact sequence onto Animator and they will automatically be

organized in order (Animator)

This is a feature list SO FAR. Hope to see your order, soon.
