[HOW TO] Make the cc particle world with z-depth in after effects

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how I can put a layer with a cc particle world, with in the 3d space of the camera? I mean integrating the particles, like if there were flying in the space,with z-depth, creating something similar a 3d stroke, but it's particles, following a null object or something?

Thanks in advance.

use this expression to parent to null

for x:

p = thisComp.layer("Null 1").transform.position;

d = (p - [thisComp.width/2,thisComp.height/2,0])/thisComp.width;

d[0]

then just replace with d[1] for y, and d[2] for z

hum, I already have done something similar, I guess this system don't work, what I'm trying to achieve is something similar to the line of particles in this following link:

as C.Smith said Particual, it's the best solution more fluid and gives more possibilities and i dont think CC particualr system allows DOF, but particular i'm sure it can, i swear guys im not a Trapcode salesman :P.

good luck ;).
