Learning C4D

Recommended Posts

I am a Max user looking to start learning C4D. I would love some training materials (books, dvds, sites) that would help me understand the differences and similarities between the programs.

I know most on this forum use c4d so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Chad

Tim's classes at FXPHD were the most helpful to me. Very Very worth it!

Tim's blog is great too

C4D Cafe it hit or miss for me, but if you dig deep enough, there is some good information and answers to specific problems.

CS Tools are Crucial

I have also just started posting C4D Tuts about every week. Here are the first three.

Intro To Cinema 4D

Cinema 4D Basic Tools, Deformers, Nurbs and Splines

Build A DNA strand in Cinema

Feel free to drop me a comment and ask questions. I'm looking for ideas to do more tutorials.

Have fun!

Nick

Has anyone done the xpresso CMIVFX training? Sounds interesting. I also love fxphd.com, the new term is starting up and After Effects and C4D by Tim is going to be great!

I just bought it with the 40% discount offer. Hopefully find some time this weekend to have a watch of it. Just after I bought it the flash player on the site stopped working on my macp pro, fine on my MBP so the site's fine, tried uninstalling, reinstalling flash etc. but no joy, annoying. Have to wedge myself inbetween the 2 macs to actually do the tutorials rather than just look at another screen lol.

I'll let you know how it is, coming from a totally blank slate TP and Xpresso-wise. I can't even figure out how to implement those cool looking presets in the content browser at the minute!
