monovich 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2007 (edited) Hi all, A long time lurker finally says hi. Saw this yesterday evening, was pretty blown away by it. You gotta adminire the passion that guy has for this work. http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/27 Have a great week ego or no, I admire the guy. Pretty mind expanding to watch all the weirdness. I envy his ability to go wherever his creativity takes him (because of his stature, but he had to get there). I usually go where my mouse takes me, and watching something like that reminds me how small my creative world is. 2008: graphic design takes the back seat for me. Time to get on with things I'm personally excited about instead of mograph tunnel vision. edit:typo Edited December 17, 2007 by monovich

JoelD 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 This tongue and cheek sponsor reel from optimus is a lot of fun to watch. Kind of touches upon many of the usual techniques--still very impressive. Must have taken ages to do. http://www.optimus.com/ and the obvious reference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaADnQzdyP8 I think someone here was asking about how some of those video time delay effects were done a few weeks ago---maybe they were involved in the optimus piece. Considering how long it is, I wonder how many worked on it.

Guest Sao_Bento Report post Posted July 15, 2008 For motion graphics I would like to recommend www.lazymovie.com. They can change the background of any moving image... I was surprised that it's based in Denmark. I wonder if they actually do the work there, or if they're farming it out to SE Asia.
dom2000 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 Quote from the site: Our main office is located in Copenhagen, Denmark while the production is based in Cebu, Philippines. The team is composed of highly skilled Filipino visual effects designers and Scandinavian managers, together, providing outstanding rotoscoping and chroma keying services with minimal cultural and linguistic misunderstandings. graymachine 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 I've worked with them on projects in the past. The results are pretty decent. And with the time difference, you can upload a clip at night at usually have it roto'd before your first cup of coffee.
