Beaver 1 Report post Posted August 14, 2009 UPDATE: Now using foreground object. Scales with FOV and all that. Download the C4D File.
fishface 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2009 So there may be a better way to do this, but here's a quick copy/paste camera for when you need center cut guides in an HD frame. C4D unfortunately doesn't offer these in the viewport options (I don't think?) Outer Spline: Visible area after cut Middle Spline: Action safe Inner Spline: Title safe One small issue, if you adjust the focal length, the guides don't automatically adjust. Maybe someone with some math/xpresso skills can fix that though...would love to see it. Hey man. Looks cool. I just make a 4:3 safe guide TGA and put it on a BG Object. Add that to a layer that won't render but can be easily viewed for reference.
Beaver 1 Report post Posted August 14, 2009 Ok, I tried the BG object, but then it just goes behind everything, so I made a new version with a foreground object. Perfecto. Updated main post.
