New 2D VFX Tutorial Site: http://vfxhaiku.com

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

It's been a while since I've posted something here, but i've been working on a new 2D VFX tutorial site over the last few weeks. It's called VFXHaiku.com

I cover a few different applications like Cinema 4D, After Effects, Eyeon Fusion, and Photoshop. I'll show you how all these applications can work together, and bring some of the esoteric concepts of working in high end visual effects down to earth..

Take a look and let me know what you guys think. This is just an experiment at the moment, and if there's enough interest, i'll try and keep it going!

Thanks!

Looking good Kert! I still owe you a beer for getting me that gig at PF. I checked out your UV tutorial last week, good stuff. Personally I'd definitely pay the $19 for that Multipass tutorial if it was using After Effects instead of Fusion. I assume most people around here are in the same boat.

Cheers!

Thanks man, I hope the last few weeks at PF weren't too crazy for you :) I agree, there's probably way more demand for AE stuff, so I'm going to try and focus some more attention there for some of my upcoming paid tutorials. TTYL!

Hey All,

I just wanted to let you know that I've added another huge fusion tutorial to http://vfxhaiku.com

In-depth Node Based Compositing with Eyeon Fusion

This tutorial revolves around a shot that was created for the Open Cut 3.0 challenge that was held last year. All sorts of topics are covered from keying, particles, light-wrap, blending, colour correction, etc...

I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks!

Hey all,

I thought you guys might be interested in a new tutorial I just made on how to run Fusion on OSX. I use a combination of tools in order to approach this problem.

Take a look here if you want to check it out:

If you have any comments or questions, just let me know!

Thanks!

Great tutorial.

As a fan of OSX I've always assumed running PC exclusive apps through virtualization was more trouble than they were worth.

You made it look pretty effortless. I can't believe you were doing that on a 2 core machine.

On a side note, I've always liked your work... very clean, polished and professional.
