Advise needed from anyone in Melbourne or Australia general

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm moving to Melbourne in January and looking for some tips, links or heads up in regards to work in the mograph industry. I can't seem to find that much going on online (Seek.co.au) and wondered if there was any portholes or other sites I could be browsing?

I also couldn't find many agencies serving Melbourne, am I finding this strange because I am coming out from London where the ratios are better? or is it not in the Australian culture to use agencies?

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

A Map of Australian motion graphics companies.

I made this a year or so ago. They may have moved since then, but perhaps it will help you in some way. Best of luck!

I'm also heading back to Melbourne, from London.

Make sure you sign up to the DLF (Digital Labourers' Federation), its free!

They have a couple of handy mailouts which cater for 3D, vfx and motiongraphics.

also ScreenHub, its a subscription service but plenty of film and tv jobs on offer:
