Guest nextseason Report post Posted January 10, 2005 Personally I hate those presets, what's the fun in that? I guess if you have a really, really tight deadline it could make it somewhat quicker but it just seems like Power Point transitions.
Guest Nhowe Report post Posted January 10, 2005 i just like them for those BS jobs that get passed my way... i can knock them out... and it keeps my clients and my creative director happy... for my own personal work i would never use them, unless the were a base and were customized

Guest radiuscorner Report post Posted January 12, 2005 I think the presets are there so: a.) if you're an AE newbie and you just want a text effect out of the can b.) people can get a sense of the power and flexibility of the text animator c.) to help you understand how the text animators work a lot of people don't bother using the text animtor because it's complicated and somewhat unintuitive and it frustrates them. Guest bubba Report post Posted January 31, 2005 They are perfect for cheap assed clients who don't know the difference, give you a five day job and want it finished by the end of the day. You can finish their shit fast and go to the gym.
