3ds Max -> C4D

Recommended Posts

Well...it looks like I'll be switching to C4D as my main 3d app.

From what I remember there were a couple dudes here that were making a similar move.

There are a lot of great tuts out there, but I wanted to see if there were any tailored for a dude making a switch from 3ds max specifically?

Any recommended ones out there?

It covers the entire workflow, from basic modelling, to parenting, parenting, with tags, basic rigging, materials, lights, keyframes, timeline and so on.

Hey KGB! Your boy Nick Campbell has a lot of great stuff for beginners, advancing up to more complicated stuff.

I'd say join up at http://www.cineversity.com/ too.

Both good places to start. Also, don't ditch 3DS Max! I've found 3DS and C4d to be like a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup; two great tastes that taste great together.

a second on the cineversity membership....the free account gives you about 1500 videos to start.

also if you call maxon sales you can get set up with one on one training sessions to get you up to speed...a great option if you don't mind laying down a couple bucks.

Thanx dudes. Yea, from what I hear, Nick has some great tutorials online.

Cineversity sounds like an awesome resource, so I'll check that out as well.

@Mike, I'm definitely not giving up Max. If anything, I'll convert my workplace over to the dark side :P
