Pemberton 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Yo dudes, I had a brilliant idea (which I'm sure someone has done already...) I wanted to take the 'render finished' sound effect in AE and set it as my iPhone text alert. Every time I get a text, sounds like my render is finished sort of thing. Anyone done this or know where to get the file?
papeula 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Or how bout the friggin' goat sound from the render engine failure. It'll be great, you will killed by colleagues by the afternoon.
ianfreeze 1 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Looks like the only way to get a custom text message ringtone is a little more difficult that one would think.... http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=439864
J Montreuil 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) You could do a screen capture with a program like Camtasia and include the system audio and then pull the audio out of that. In fact, I'm not doing anything at work right now. I'll do that for you. What format does the file need to be in? J Montreuil 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2010 Sounds like its only the tail end. Really? It looked like the full waveform in the timeline....

C.Smith 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2010 Really? It looked like the full waveform in the timeline.... I hear the entire thing. And Kit Kats is the entire old one. You can flip between them and timewarp.
getSOME 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) The location of the audio files is given in After Effects Help. I'm working on Cs4, and looked around for the help page on that (figured it must about the same as CS5) but *didn't* find "rnd_okay.wav" anywhere in contents. Is it hiding? Anyways, if you want the sound, you should look at the link todd sent. Edited September 29, 2010 by getSOME
Todd Kopriva 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2010 (figured it must about the same as CS5) Nope. We made them easier to work with in After Effects CS5. You can't really get to the original audio files in After Effects CS4, though you can add new files to a specific location to change the sounds. There are instructions for customizing the sound in CS4 here.
