tcastudios 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) 16 years ago I carried my baby girl all night listening to the Arcadie album by Daniel Lanois on repeat. Last week she sung "The Maker" from it with me and we recorded it at home as a part of my "knitting" project (playing guitar instead of my lousy keyboard playing ) TheKnittingProject Cheers Lennart @Douwe, I've toured with Wanda Edited April 24, 2011 by tcastudios
douwe 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 lennart, i'm a big fan of lanois' recent project Black Dub. about the duet ; take your daughter to her granpa's next birthday party and play it for him. won't rid you of any sensations of pride and achievement, won't keep his neck warm in winter either, but he'll be one happy man. and that's what these knitting projects are all about in the end, right ? about touring with wanda : don't really know much about her, actually, but i can imagine hanging with an oklahoma rockabilly starlet from the olden days is quite an experience. d
tcastudios 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 and that's what these knitting projects are all about in the end, right ? No no! We gonna be intergalactic superstars touring the universe with our checkerboard stage set with a gigantic floating chrome ball hovering over it all! There's no other way from here:) Wanda apparently did some sessions with Mr Presley -way back- so even if she was very kind it was a bit of a memory lane trip... Cheers from Space Lennart

the_Monkey 8 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 The Chariot. The music is so incredibly not my thing... but their precision is undeniable. Would definitely want to party with those dudes. They seem super creative and talented, but I'm not sure I can get past the vocals. I don't know what it is... I just start snickering every time I see someone yell-singing (especially into a microphone). That's the voice I hear in my head when people WRITE MOGAPH POSTS WHILE RENDERING. -m

First time I saw them, it was like a bomb literally went off in the crowd during the first song. End of it, the guitarist tied his guitar to a rafter and just swung it back and forth in front of an amp to get weird feedback noise. Saw a youtube video of them in Australia recently - their show spilled over into a local business, and the show got shut down. So some guy volunteered his parent's house. They packed up and finished the show there. At the end, the lead singer and guitarist crawled out a window, and finished the show on the roof of the house. C.Smith 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 it was like a bomb literally went off in the crowd So there was blood and guts everywhere? Did the building collapse from the structural damage? How many people were killed? What do you think the blast force was?
stutts 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 So there was blood and guts everywhere? Did the building collapse from the structural damage? How many people were killed? What do you think the blast force was? ha. I was up near the front of the crowd. When they played the first note of the the first song, the whole crowd just collectively lost their minds. It went from people standing around calmly to an all-out mosh pit in like .3 seconds. I don't know about deaths...but there were injuries. :-D

C.Smith 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2011 I personally endorse this fine mix of "hotlanta" style hiphop and nasty dubstep thugstep Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck yes. I'm a Dubstep junkie and I still rock late-90's Cash Money shit all the time. Bout time they all came together on some tracks. That being said this particular collection's dubstep producing is barely dubstep or that great. But I have huge promise for the idea of great dubstep producer lettin ATL and Houston boys spit at the mic.
