[XPresso-Cinema 4D] Living Room Parameters

Recommended Posts

I Have a XPresson Question . I'm trying to create a room where all the parameters of the room like width , height and how high the roof is and so on are all easily accessible via some user data and linking some stuff together ! I realize it can all be done manually but I want the exercise and my problem is I'm stuck at one point where I can't control the roof the way I'd like , Basically I want the roof to go up when the walls get higher ! Is that possible ? Below is a download link to my file and thanks in advance for any help

If you want to keep the parameter spline, you can't change is Center so use the position of the Extrude Nurbs and Null to balance.

That's the position of The Extrude that matters, not the spline.

Balance the position of the Null Wall depending of the wall size, to scale them from the ground and not the middle.

When this is done, Link your Elevation to your HeightSpline Wall and Instance Roof position.

Boom

Here is your file

firstly, use mediafire for file hosting, much less hassle than hotfile.

secondly, on my tutorial website i got a pretty good coverage of the xpresso topic, specifically the dynamic building tut, it should get you where you are going.

This is the latest I Got , I created a small preset based on Xpresso and some user data you can add doors (Just 2 atm) and move them around and control how open a door is or closed as well as how high the room is and the shape of the room
