Some critique to a Teenager?

Recommended Posts

I am 16 years old now, all works done when i was 15 except the jimdo video.I am trying to study it by myself, i want to see if i can handle that, i got like 3 different types of notes:"script notes, work notes, frames notes".I am thinking about emigration to another country to study motion graphics, i am stuck between these 2 countrys denkmark and Norway,i heard in denmark you dont need to pay for your studies because it's free.I'll see how my skills will grow up till i finish my school, it's like 3 years left ^^

Just keep on doing stuff. You already have a major advantage being this age, produce something new every month. Try new techniques, new ideas. You'll only grow better as you go on.

Pretty much this.

I studied everything on my own too and I can give you one tip:

Focus on story telling. A video without a story isn't a good video, you want to communicate something with videos, so make sure your message gets across, even if it is a simple one or just a feeling.

I missed that important factor and I'm trying to catch up with that now.

Keep on going and we will see you in a couple of years as a great artist.

If your are 16 well... I must tell you you're doing a very good job so far!

From my experience, the best way of learning is... practicing a lot! Just don't focus on "let's make the best video ever, with a great story, perfect graphics and cool editing" otherwise you'll end up never finishing it.

Keep doing short stuff on different subjects and styles, and see wich one suits you more.

good luck!
