saifsohailkhan 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2011 I have been looking around for tuts that could show me a way to make a candle flame like animation in cinema 4d. I have seen it on youtube but not tuts for them. There are pyro clusters but that does not work for what i am trying to make. Any Advice?
throb36 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2011 How about you just model a flame, and then use a random effector as a deformer to animate it.
elpatron 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2011 Use Turbulence plugin. It rocks: http://www.jawset.com/

throb36 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2011 Well, if we're on the road of plugins. Also check out DPIT Effex. Also does flames/fluid simulations.
Nick Campbell 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2011 I got playing this this idea over the weekend and came up with an interesting technique using some wind deformers. I'll be posting it to the blog this week, but in the mean time, you can download the Flame V1 scene file here and see an example of it on vimeo here. saifsohailkhan 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2011 I am close with some noise animated texture plus i also made a map in aftereffects of black and white bars that and different sizes and move vertically at random speeds to make waves on the candle. But still it looks not realistic. @elpatron: The plugin looks really cool i will definitely check it out. @throb36: This plug in looks cool too. But i wonder if flame is possible without plug ins. @Nick Campbell: Thats looks really awesome. loving the SSS in the candle wax.
