Aligning Plexus with camera moves, can it be done?

Recommended Posts

So hoping somebody out there might have a bit of experience with Plexus.

I'm working in c4d, creating a complex camera move with some fairly basic building structures. Essentially a camera animates from a tiny house up to larger buildings etc.. The look needed is a wireframe effect, but the basic wireframe is a bit, well.. shit.

I'd like to export an OBJ of the scene into plexus and animate there. Problem: Nothing seems to line up. First off it comes in upside down, which is easily fixed but beyond that the camera seems to have little to no positional relation, scale may also be off too..

Anybody done anything like this before?

Try this: in the Plexus effect, where you have the OBJ Sequence Object, twirl down 'Transform OBJ' and experiment with altering pairs of the x,y and z rotation values to 180°. I can't recall which two it is off the top of my head, but one of those normally does it. It's one of those Z-axis things, I think because C4D's exported camera compensates for the flipped axis, but the OBJ Sequence doesn't.
