louderthan11 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2012 Is there a way to copy and paste thinking particle groups in the TP settings panel? Seems like that would be a no brainer but . . . .
David Wickenden 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 Unfortunately not. XPresso and TP are long overdue for a revamp.
louderthan11 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) I figured as much. Seems like one of those things that just doesn't make sense.... possible to write a script for something like that? Edited July 3, 2012 by louderthan11
David Wickenden 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2012 It's a pretty obvious deficiency. Unfortunately I don't think a scripting solution is possible.

David Wickenden 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2012 Scratch that, it can be done after all. Extract CopyParticleGroups.zip into the user prefs library/scripts subfolder. Access the script in the Script Manager. In the TP Settings panel, select the parent group and execute the script. The parent and children are copied with the same names, colours and hierarchy structure.
