Shared AE Expressions document for all

Recommended Posts

This was wonderful to wake up to, thanks everyone!

Recently, I used this expression to achieve some interesting time remap results from Sound Keys data:

w=thisComp.layer("SoundKeys").effect("Sound Keys")("Output 1")

y=timeToFrames(t = time + thisComp.displayStartTime, fps = 1.0 / thisComp.frameDuration, isDuration = false)

z=thisComp.layer("SoundKeys").effect("Sound Keys")("Output 1")> .9) {value = x} else {value =w}

can you explain this?....I usually do something like this on the position of a layer linking them to two sliders for control:

wiggle(thisComp.layer("Null 1").effect("Slider Control 1")("Slider"),thisComp.layer("Null 1").effect("Slider Control 2")("Slider"))

... how does your setup work? ....guess I will give it a try.

BTW, that linear function which is doing all the work is built by this expression:t = input value(outMin + (outMax - outMin) * ((t - inMin) / (inMax - inMin)))BTW, BTW: What is with the new whack-a-doodle formatting on this forum now? Like where are all the features for posting BBCode and what not. Everything I post has fuctup formatting.
