Lab 316 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2012 Take a look at the screenshot, in the Right View, I'm trying to get that curve of the case, but I'm not sure how to curve that entire section, with the back plane as well. Do i have to do each point individually? Here's the screenshot: http://www.dropmocks.com/mBnGtF
ianfreeze 1 Report post Posted November 28, 2012 make a second piece that matches the curve of the back and use a boole to subtract it?
mcs 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2012 or maybe try to do it with box modeling (+hypernurbs).
jayfaker 1 Report post Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) I would knife up the back with the shapes you see in the back view (try to line up the cuts with your existing vertices), then extrude those shapes and scale your extrudes to make the curve. Then you'll need to finesse with the bevel tool and by hand as needed. Edited November 28, 2012 by jayfaker

I can slice down the side, but not the back for some reason. I closed the polygon with the Close Polygon Hole command.
eliss 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2012 Stuff like that I'd delegate it out to someone that can bang it out quick. Or, learn to use Maya that has stronger modeling tools. Just my two cents.

Try restarting C4D and see if it will do it then (I've had this fix this exact thing recently).2. If it still won't, do 'optimize' on it to make sure all your points are actually connecting.Jayfaker has the right idea on this one..
