10 bit DPX timecode I/O question

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Searched and couldn't find an answer to this dumb question.

I'm working with 10 bit DPX sequences shot on Alexa. I haven't done a ton of LOG work, but I'm handling most of the workflow issues.

After researching the new AECC, I saw that aside from variable bit depth output, TC is also read and rendered.

But I'd like to keep my job in AECS6, which it appears DOES NOT read and retain TC from a DPX sequence.

So, how were people getting that TC to passthrough to final render prior to CC, or were they at all?

Script? Plug? Magic?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: Also I want to mention that I arrived at the CS6 issue through a few tests.

There's every possibility that I made a mistake and am wrong about it's inability to handle TC.
