Inner extrude/Bevel from an AI File.

Recommended Posts

I was working on a spline path from AI. I extruded it by Extrude nurbs. Then made it editable. Selected the front polygon, then attempted to inner extrude it, but all goes chaotic! :/

I tried setting up Quadrangle in regular grid instead of the usual Ngon type.

The Extrude already has beveling sections to it so you can add some rounding to your object, using "Fillet Cap" option.

Not quite sure why you're getting rid of the caps and such. Although if there is a specific reason for making the Extrude editable and then using the bevel tool, you have to do a "connect and delete" to your object to join the sides and caps together, and then "optimize" so all the points are joined. And then you should be able to bevel the object.

Also try selecting the edges all around instead of the polygon face and see if you get different/better results.

Hope that helps.
