anothername 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 I want to get a small really portable laptop for doing my more admin type of work on the go, but I still want to be able to do some design on it (photoshop, illustrator etc.) when in transit. Right now I have an older 15 inch MBP was wondering if a 13 inch retina is workable for design or if it's just too small to do anything useful on without a second monitor? kitkats 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2015 (edited) Reckon the Intel GPU might be more of an issue than the screen size, but it should be able to handle PS and AI ok. I've done super simple stuff on my GF's MacBook Air, which was kind of frustrating, but you can develop new habits like using fullscreen mode in PS. anothername 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2015 Cool, I checked some out in store with the retina and decided to order one. Yeah it's a bummer about the intel graphics but I'm not looking to do any crazy C4D or AE on it. If I can figure out working on it enough to do some illustrator work and style frames in PS while on the go will be happy.
