Guest pixel_pimp Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I am trying to figure out which recipes other people us for particles forming type, or particles blowing type away. Mainly tips in After Effects, but not particle playground. Is it a combination of shatter, or Boris Effects. I can't place any example, any main title or trailer from Imaginary Forces? If anyone has come up with any good solutions please share. Thx
Guest André Leroux Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Hi Pixel Check out this AE tutorial by Ayato, this could help. http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae03_e.html Particle Illusion would also be something to consider looking at André
Guest igorschmigor Report post Posted January 16, 2004 looks like a question for renascent. But i guess he uses a 3D-programme for that. particles forming type is probably the same as particles blowing type away, just played backwards. And blowing type away into many little particles is pretty easy with 3D programmes.
Guest pixel_pimp Report post Posted January 16, 2004 I was hoping particles was a good place to start. It wasn't meant to be a specific question. But Ayato stuff is really cool. I've done particle's in Maya, which turn out really great. The place where I work can't afford for everyone to run a copy of Maya:( So I wanted to see if anyone has found an AE solution. Guest igorschmigor Report post Posted January 16, 2004 Well, this one does use particle playground (i know you asked for non-particle-playground-recipes but i'll mention it anyway, just in case you didn't know it yet): http://www.creativecow.net/articles/erikss...sand/index.html (text that blows away like sand) Here is one done with particle illusion: http://www.creativecow.net/articles/deane_...lode/index.html (disintegrate a logo)
