Guest bennett Report post Posted January 24, 2004 http://cgchannel.com/news/viewfeature.jsp?newsid=2288 Alex Brodie of Company 3 is primarily responsible for the visual effects for these pieces. Brodie says that he had to "draw [the wires] in frame by frame" to give them a specific look and feel. As tedious as the work must've been, the end product is incredible. Guest firemind Report post Posted January 24, 2004 For the few people who don't know about the commercials, check 'em out here: http://www.apple.com/ipod/ads/ Very nicely done, if I do say so myself
Guest firemind Report post Posted January 24, 2004 As foir the 'cut-out' effect, it's mostly greenscreen filming, color correction and a hell of a lot of rotoscoping

Guest pixel_pimp Report post Posted February 14, 2004 you could shoot them in front of a large white backdrop, and crush the levels.
Guest say*uncle Report post Posted February 15, 2004 thanx pixel pimp, that sounds like an interesting technique to try on future projects but i am more interested in finding a way to create that effect with existing footage that is already shot.
