Guest yogert909 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 you'll have to reinstall from the cd. when aftereffects finds a new plugin in the plugin folder, it serializes it to your copy of ae. if you copy them to another version of ae they won't show up. so you need 'virgin' plugins which haven't been used with ae before. Guest yogert909 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 oops, I think 'shine' and some others which have their own serial numbers will continue to work on the same computer. if not, you can reregister them by clicking the 'options' button in the effects dialog. Guest jasfish Report post Posted February 18, 2004 no, they won't work. trapcode released a free update of all plugs for 6.0. just download those, install, and use your current serial number. if you use your old plugs you'll likely get a lot of 'abnormal conditon' errors which will crash AE.
