Guest crabbey1 Report post Posted April 6, 2006 (edited) Ok, so Carniceria called me out here in post #9. And it is definately time that we had a show down... So this is what I propose... The mograph community will be the judge and jury... And the task will be to model and texture (photo realistically) an object in C4D to the best of our abilities... Final renders will be due in less than one week (upcoming Monday)... Are you ready for this Carniceria? You know that you are going down. Time is running out... We will leave the object upto the mograph community.. Any suggs...? Something moderately difficult... Edited April 6, 2006 by crabbey1

Guest sketchbook Report post Posted April 6, 2006 i say model a nike shoe. i do a lot of 3d work with nike, and can send you some profiles, top, bottom, etc. i have modeled several of them and they can take up to a day for a fairly detailed model. this will definitely test you modeling and texturing skills. are we talking animation or just a still render? Good suggestion, shoes are a great project (definitely a challenge for the guys who started this thread). Doing a really detailed shoe requires a pretty well rounded skill set. For extra credit, bone it and animate a step. -first- create a glove and slap the other guy with it.

Guest crabbey1 Report post Posted April 6, 2006 how about a heavily tattooed male arm. How about a rediculously colored jacket and a super cool, uneven, hipster haircut? So shoes are sounding like the challenge... Any other suggs? I will give it til noon today and then the challenge begins... i say model a nike shoe. i do a lot of 3d work with nike, and can send you some profiles, top, bottom, etc. i have modeled several of them and they can take up to a day for a fairly detailed model. If there are no other suggs by noon can you send over some reference pics?
