I'm forever searching the net for new films/movies to watch, as I'm sure you are too. But often is the case the same list is put up again and again by people - shaw shank redemption inevitably being no.1
So I thought where better than here to ask for personal recommendations. Also to share my list of favourites as I have seen numerous over the years and can add to this list. So hit me back if you know of any. Thanks

Just watched Snowpiercer on Netflix. Quite a thought provoking film, worth a watch.

Must remember to get hold of Snowpiercer, I keep hearing good things about it.

I have seen La haine, ya. Its a good one.

 

From your list there I haven't seen The Dark Crystal, or dazed and confused..

I could write a lengthy list but instead I'll mention that I saw my first bollywood flick on christmas - PK. Surprisingly entertaining.. I'd recommend checking out it out. I plan on watching the directors other films at some point.

6- Pi , Requelm for a dream and The Fountain (Before Aronofsky became such a hot shot)

10-The Lincoln Lawyer

11-Pursuit of Happiness

12-Garden State

13-The Dark Knight (only film worth watching in the Batman Franchise)

14-Secret Window

15-Midnight in Paris

16-A series of musfortunate events

19-Life of Pi (Must watch a few times at least)

Glad you liked these .. what did you think of the big short ? I liked it in a very weird way .. it left a very strong after taste although I didn't enjoy it to start with but it drove me to read a lot about the financial crisis and eventually made me more educated about the subject

 

Also Kung Fu Panda has some awesome visuals , definitely worth watching too

I thought the Big Short was excellent. and very good casting.

I remember people buying houses here and it was just a bubble. ridiculous.

 

Liked Kung Fu panda as well. First one.
