Hi sophie i really like the low/high tech approach. the transitions get old after some time but it has a nice overall feel that really goes well with the music.
Post your work here for more exposure:

Are you in paris?

Awesome! That took a lot of planning! Would it be possible to give us a quick rundown of how you worked it out?

hands = roto hell, my hat goes off to you! the corner pinning would have been a task and a half too.
was the rearranging done with a strict storyboard in mind?

thanks everybody,

a little explanation:

alim, you're right, before to shoot the scenes, i had a strict storyboard in mind, i did a rough animatic to know what to shoot, where and when it will be in the cubes scene...

the cubes were painted with different colors for the girl turning them to know which one to turn, we did a lot of takes for this part..

and the big work, the post! there is 2 big parts: the rotoscopy for the hands and the 3D tracking for the cubes...
for the rotoscopy i had 3 guys from the parisian postprodcution house Mikros Image (damien, david and sebastien) helping me (a big thanks to them), we did it half with Nuke, half with After Effects.
i tried to use corner pin, but it was no so precise as i wanted, so i built some "3D" cubes directly in After Effects and track them...

there is a lot of compositing too to get the final result,

and here we are...

When I saw this topic I thought

Posted Image

But she would never have a music video this cool.

This is just up my alley and thank you for posting it here. A simple idea with great execution and concept goes a lot farther than over the top motion graphics for me. I'll take this over something like Psyop's Sheryl Crow video any day.
